About Carbon Re
Our sole mission is to reduce global emissions at the Gigatonne scale
The world is facing an existential threat from runaway climate change and the industries on which our modern societies are built such as cement, steel, chemicals, glass, paper and ceramics are responsible for more than a fifth of all greenhouse gas emissions.
These energy-intensive industries face a perfect storm of low margins, growing carbon prices and pressure to decarbonise. But proposed solutions such as green hydrogen and carbon capture are too costly and a long way from maturity. We can’t wait: the world needs solutions that work today, not in years or decades.
Cutting emissions and costs
We know that to make net-zero a reality, we have to make it economically feasible. This is why Carbon Re is building technologies that provide manufacturers with significant financial and ESG value, today.
Starting with cement, our Delta Zero software product enables energy intensive process industries to reduce their emissions and costs simultaneously.
Leveraging the power of AI
We apply state-of-the-art artificial intelligence to leverage opportunities for energy efficiency in energy-intensive industries. Using deep reinforcement learning, we optimize energy use in manufacturing, enabling producers to cut their emissions by up to 20% whilst saving millions in costs every year.
We believe that getting to net-zero will require a complete re-engineering for the way societies produce and consume, and that AI and computing will be at heart of this carbon revolution. Carbon Re’s goal is to build world-leading products and solutions to meet the evolving needs of the net-zero transition in energy intensive industries.
